Pisa and Lerici
Today’s trip is devoted to discovering two Italian jewels: Pisa and Lerici.
Our coach is departing from the Cruise Terminal of the port of La Spezia… All aboard for Pisa!
If you have never visited the capital of Tuscany, you’re in for a treat: centuries of history and art await you in some of the most famous monuments in the world.
Our visit is dedicated to Piazza del Duomo, more commonly known as “Piazza dei Miracoli”, home to the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Cemetery and the Bell Tower.
The final stop, an attraction for tourists from all over the world, is the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Completely unmissable, it’s a complex and detailed monument sure to fill you with indescribable emotions when you finally see it up close!
After a short break to take a few snaps for our photo albums, we move on to Lerici, a charming little town that overlooks the Gulf of La Spezia, or ‘Gulf of Poets’.
It is one of the most famous coastal villages in Liguria and attracts visitors all year round. Its medieval structure once again whisks us back to a far-off time, many centuries ago, giving us just the right amount of peace and relaxation surrounded by the splendid natural landscapes that Italy has to offer.
Lerici overlooks the sea, but not just any sea! This little corner of paradise is a cultural heritage site that has been awarded a prestigious Blue Flag.
Did you think there was just the sea to look at? Lerici is part of the Regional Natural Park of Montemarcello, a protected area.
The day has now drawn to its close, but we can’t wait to tell everyone about the wonderful trip we’ve been on!

On our way back, we will visit an olive oil mill, Frantoio Lucchi e Guastalli, a spectacular location with thousands of years of history surrounded by beautiful greenery.
After stopping for a few minutes to admire the truly jaw-dropping views, we dedicate our stop-over to a visit of the mill and a tasting of oils and typical local products: a real treat for the senses!
